Honor Yourself with Self-Love: Tune Inward and Listen to Your Body’s Messages

I always look forward to the weekend. Personally, the weekend is a great time to truly let go of any commitment to work and just ease into the day. As I ease myself into each day, I take the time out to think about the how I should care for myself on a spiritual level. I tend to become super excited when I think about meditation because I know meditation is a wonderful way to get tune inward, connect to myself, and the universe. In general, the opportunity to tune inward is a beautiful way to listen to the body’s message and honor ourselves through self-love. Our body is always telling us something important.

Whether it is our emotions or physical pain, it relates to a spiritual meaning. An example would be a knee pain that I experienced a few months ago. I could not figure out why I had such a random pain in my knee. Furthermore, I did not participate in anything that would cause the pain. During that specific time, I was diving deeper into my spirituality and I remember hearing that our physical pain has a spiritual meaning. After conducting research, I found out that a knee pain can reflect my inability to be flexibility in connection to the future. So, I decided to slow down and take the time to explore my struggle to be flexible in a certain aspect of my life. As I created a daily ritual of checking in with myself, I learned to simply acknowledge my fear of flexibility, surrender control to the universe, and trust that everything will work out in accordance with my highest self. As I learned to let go and be flexible, the pain in my knee became to dissipate. Since this experience, I have used this specific journey to help me in every aspect of my life. The ability to slow down and honor myself allows me to fall in love with myself.

Because I honored myself and tuned into my body’s message,  I was able to address issues that appeared deeper than a knee pain. Instead, I had a chance to heal the root cause of my inflexibility, which seemed to reflect issues in my past. When we tune inward, we are able to address decades of pain and rediscover our amazingness in love. Through honoring ourselves through self-love, we are able to transform into our heart’s desire. Therefore, it is important to tune inward, enjoy the stillness in life through meditation, and listen to what our body is trying to tell us. The messages can be experienced physically (like a knee pain) or emotionally (like feelings of abandonment). It is crucial to take some time to listen in and you will grow with so much love.

As we ease into this week, I would love for us to put ourselves first in everything that we do; slow down and enjoy the stillness through meditation. Moreover, let us take some time to just honor ourselves and tune inward through listening to the body’s messages. When we honor ourselves and put ourselves first through love, we become our highest self and everything falls into place.
